An inspiration to all, Kamala takes an active role in creating a future world that promotes diversity and inclusion, by encouraging others to take action!

What makes you feel beautiful?

"I feel most beautiful right before I am about to speak on a panel or give a presentation. I love engaging in rich conversation about the most important topics of the day and sharing my perspective. I also love a good, glossy, and bold MAC lipgloss."

What achievement are you most proud of?

"I am the first-ever Head of Inclusive Content at Lionsgate Films, responsible for working to make the film slate and the marketing that promotes it more diverse, inclusive, and representative of the world we live in."

What drives your passion?

"I am so passionate about this work because I believe that content is the most effective canvas we have to effect change; it influences how we see ourselves and each other. To diversify the stories we see, we need to diversify the room of executives who get to decide which stories and storytellers we see.

I have worked at companies from Bad Boy Records to NBC to Google to Facebook, partnering with creative voices to help them find their audience as a marketer and striving to always leave those spaces more diverse and equitable than I found them. This role is the culmination of my career thus far. Representing an opportunity to change what inclusion looks like on our screens for years to come.

I am also the creator, host, and co-producer of a new podcast called "From Woke to Work: The Anti-Racist Journey," which helps aspiring allies move from woke feelings to anti-racist actions."
